The Flomec F018 Rate Totaliser is a highly sophisticated and rugged local display with digital and analogue outputs and HART Communication allowing easy communication with smart industrial control systems.
The F018 features a very large multi-line backlit LCD, which provides optimal readability from a distance or in low-light conditions. The available output options make this product suited to almost any flow measurement application, with a 4-20mA analogue signal for flow rate feedback and control, flow alarms for monitoring critical processes, and a scaled pulse signal for remote monitoring of total volumes. With the addition of HART Communications, the F018 is perfect for smart instrumentation systems ranging from basic automation systems to sophisticated industrial control and monitoring applications.
The F018 is housed in a robust glass-reinforced nylon enclosure with an IP66/67 rating, rubberised buttons, and a polycarbonate lens, and comes with an optional Intrinsically safe approval to IECEx, ATEX, FM, and CSA. Applications for the F018 Rate Totaliser
- The F-Series is your first and safest choice for field mount indicators. Especially in harsh weather conditions like rain, snow, salty atmospheres, and temperatures between -40°F up to +176°F (-40°C up to 80°C) for safe and hazardous area applications.
- Applications where net flow calculation at base conditions is desired without the influence of thermal product expansion.
- Liquid flow measurement with mechanical flowmeters where a precise calculation over the full measurement range is required. Also, continuous flow rate monitoring is required.
- For batching small up to very large quantities. Single or repeating batches.
- Fuel consumption calculation for diesel engines on board ships or trains. Sum function: where flows are split-up in two pipelines and total flow has to be calculated.
